Hi.. just joined the forum (from Aust) and a potential new owner of a Multi V4 Rally after 3 x GSA’s... Need a change and V4 Rally is the goods! Love the bike but seems the nav in dash is average at best. Have been researching all nav options and would love a Chigee for CarPlay but also dislike that it is a fixed unit. Have settled on a Garmin XT2 as the best solution. Looking at mounts, OEM is poor value so moved to Evotech, although this seems to have vibration issues. Not sure if anyone has experienced this? I also came across this https://www.adapter3dmotorrad.com/en/product/v4-adapter-xt-xt2/ which seems great as a concept, but there are no reviews. Has anyone had experience with the A3DM mounts? Thanks
Also says it’s plug and play for XT2 with this adaptor https://www.adapter3dmotorrad.com/en/product/v4-adapter-xt-xt2/ but there is no real info on the specs. Can’t really work out if it will simply plug into Ducati nav plug and still charge the XT2..
@JJRally, check my post at #15. The Iconics off road mount is one solution. Your link to the 3D printed thing looks like only an adaptor and IMO, the listing leaves a lot to he desired Andy

Okay, that makes sense. I have experience of 3D printed, nylon mounts and it’s not good. The XT2 gets up quite a bit of inertia on rough roads and the mounts just split. I like the pre wired solution in your link and to my eyes, you might find the Iconics off road mounts, which are sold separately, are a direct replacement for those nylon ones. Andy
Looks like a neat mount, perhaps a bit more robust than the standard Iconic mount. The plug in the picture looks like the correct one to fit the switched live one fitted in the fairing which is ready for a sat nav. Looks like a good option overall
Scottish mount works very well , went away from the Iconic , nice ad it was, as the Evotech mounts in 4 places and keeps the unit steady .
My experience installing the XT2 was the Iconic standard mnounts are not up to the job. Iconic have replaced them for free for several people when they have complained. I've installed the metal mounts and the XT2 has been solid. (Had to spray them black first though) Also installed a ZumoLock so I can leave the XT2 on the bike permanently. XT2 and Basecamp work perfectly. You get a little pop up when you plug in the XT2 warning that it isn't supported but that's it. Garmin would prefer you move away from Basecamp since they have retired it but I have so many years of rides and memories in there that I'm sticking with it. Marc
I use MyRoute App on the pc as it’s great . I still out of habit save the new routes to Basecamp as like you I still like the format and like to check it . Silly really but you know what I mean .
+1 - I think MyRouteApp is great for planning a routes but I still transfer the routes for each day into Basecamp and check the route against the track from MRA, adjusting the route as required. I can the add favorites and add them to the route, generate new tracks and transfer multiple days routes with the tracks and associated favorites as a single GPX file and save to my Zumo. I then check the Zumo routes against the tracks as a double check. Working on the "belt, braces and a piece of string principle", I then prepared an annotated turn list for each day that I print out to go with the Michelin maps I take with me. I know it's completely over the top
