Hi,i am looking at getting rid of my standard exhaust on my monster and would like to get a short can if possible,i think the original can hides a lot of the single swing arm i was contemplating on buying the termis but think they are a bit expensive and they all so cover the swing arm like the original,so my question is has anyone fitted a short stubby can and if so which one would you recommend and did you have to remap or are they a simple swap as in slip on,any info would be much appreciated many thanks iain.
Saw one at the weekend, think it was with Char's lot??? Looked good until you went round the back and could see where the atd cans should have been, as the plastics lift a little under the seat to give room
Thanks for the replies ,I have narrowed it down to the LeoVince carbon and the Remus, just got to make up my mind which.
Exhaust is from a small artisan, prices can be negotiated a bit depending on what you need. I normally give a bit of discount to people that contact me directly and is a straight fit. We also have full systems. Check gallery here Welcome - www.desmoperformanceparts.com
Pompone...you got some lovely stuff there! If I ever get a monster, new or old, I'll be getting one of those single low slung cans. Some of the superbike stuff looks good too
You should check out the Competition Werks can. It does not require a remap, and it hangs from the rider pegs. You can remove teh rear pegs and stock exhast saving about 14 lbs.
I went for the SC Project option - very pleased! No need to remap, comes with removable baffle and is plenty loud enough with the baffle in place (and street legal). Lovely burble on the overrun and seems to run a bit smoother at low RPM, though by no means totally smooth under 4K! Fitted straight on with supplied fixings and uses existing footrest hangar. Go for it, you won't be disappointed
I ditched the lambda sensors on mine and it made the world of differance Oxygen o2 sensor eliminator Ducati Monster 1100 EVO EVO S | eBay and at £25 I thought they worth the risk of trying you don't have to remove anything to try them after I then took the sensors out of the pipes and put a plug bolt in to tidy the pipes up.
