One of the many many reasons I would not touch a new car with a ten foot pole. It's already bad enough that your phone spies on you without your car also turning supergrass. I imagine it will only be a matter of time before everyone has to "voluntarily" agree to have a telematics box in their car or else they won't be able to obtain insurance.
you are so right, have feared it and said it for years, maybe this is the only effective way to continually "close the door", until driving a car loses its appeal and stops and disappears altogether. I had a bet with somebody on here years ago, that fully automated cars would not become a common sight on our roads before the end of my life, I think I've won that one but if it does happen in the future, you know that they are going to outlaw "manual" controlled cars soon afterwards.

Impressive, but if the person filming tilted the camera any further over, they’d be shooting in landscape (which they should have been doing anyway as filming in portrait is so 2010!). It’s creative use of “the Dutch tilt” - check out the slant of the trees.
