They have planes exclusively at their disposal for various parts of the season, nothing goes commercial, all goes via the big shippers, move enough stuff and DHL just give you plane to use !!
Not often youll have those three all saying the same thing, which kind of makes it an obvious decision.
It was pretty obvious anyway, doesn’t need those three to state the bleedin’ obvious that it’s more important to help the people whose lives have been turned upside down.
I can't see them holding the GP in a disaster zone where the people have lost everything, some even their lives.
The access roads have been destroyed. Don’t think it would be appropriate to spend money on repairing those first when there are so many more important life changing things to spend it on.
It’s clearly not being cancelled altogether because they would have had to announce something by now what with potentially the last round starting in a few hours time. Can’t be much stopping them moving track *and date either at this stage. Push it back a week, no one would have a problem with it apart from perhaps the weather.
156 people have died so far, which is terrible news. Also big floods and deaths in Malaga. I was in Malaga yesterday and you wouldn’t know. Some mud on roads here and there but life as usual. Apparently there’s 3 days of official mourning for the lives lost in or near Valencia. With these kind of things there are areas that are terribly effected and right nearby you wouldn’t know it.
I think that it has to be cancelled or moved. If the Valencian government spend 1€ on opening up the track before they have sorted out getting homes, shops railways and roads for the affected residents who live and work in the region, there will be absolute hell to pay. This is an example of the current situation https://ftnnews.com/travel-news/new...-disruptions-in-valencia-roads-rails-damaged/
The correct and ethically responsible decision. A shame the holiday insurance underwriters of the independent travellers, won’t have the same ethos. Andy
Are you going to try and go to the alternative assuming it’s not Malaysia or Qatar Andy? Wondering if your circuit tickets will be valid there or whether it’s going to be a mad free for all.
