1260 Termignoni Full System

  1. That’s a bugger :confused:. Current day ones are, the dealer just reinstalls the original map via DDS and a transfer code is generated which the new owner gives to his dealer who can then download the map from Ducati.
     
  2. Out of curiosity was the multi a DVT version?
     
  3. Am I right in thinking the ECU's use Linux? If so, I wonder if it's possible to clone the map as 600 quid to dump a flash file onto a ecu is criminal.

  5. If you enjoy the more spirited ride regularly, you will love the full termi. I bought my 18' MTS from my friend who had it installed. With the Ducati upmap, RACE, appears on the dashboard at startup. I wonder if it does with third party upmaps? I always wear earplugs whenever, whatever I ride. This is loud enough that I worry about neighbors when briefly warming up/idling before early morning rides. Its loud enough to scare someone/jump whilst weeding their garden. My mate was in front of me one morning, as we weaved through a small town at low speed, and he got on the gas hard leaving a round about, not having seen this woman nearby, and she really jumped. Felt bad for her. But that's the reality of loud exhaust. We're really disrupting people wherever we go.

  6. Have you tried an exhaust flap eliminator
    Have you tried an Healtech Exhaust Servo Eliminator it transformed my termignoni slip on try this first and it makes more midi range poke very smooth .

  8. Yes, certainly at the revs that the valve operates. Nothing raucous mind you but it maintains the tone and removed fluffy-ness in power delivery. Did so on my 1260s and my Pikes Peak came with this mod already installed (both Healtech eliminator modules).

    Alternatively, as a cheap, quick fix; you can just remove the Bowden cable from the spool on the valve shaft, wire the valve open and wind a spring onto the bottom of the cable to fool the servo into thinking it's still meeting the resistance of the valve and its return spring.

    This combined with the throttle spacer and a 15/42 final drive (or just a 14T front sprocket) makes the bike so much nicer at town speeds.

  10. I did edit my reply further and I see that you've quoted the first draft. You're not going to get a full and fruity exhaust tone, such as a full Termi system, by just deactivating the valve. However, you will remove the valve closure and the muting that creates by fitting the Healtech module.
     
  11. Thanks again, the bike is quick enough as is (although more power/speed always welcome)
    It just sounds a bit rubbish, especially after my recent Superduke R with an Austin racing can!
