Hi everyone, new member so go easy. I have recently bought a 600SS in a bit of a state and i am desperately trying to get it back on the road. When i bought it the throttle cables had been removed as the throttle was sticking apparently and the cables were goosed. Come to put the new cables on and i'm not sure about the routing as i have put it all back together and the throttle is still sticking open (not returning properly),i checked the carbs to make sure they are free and it's not them making the throttle stick and they seem fine. Can anyone post a few pics of where the cables route as i'm tearing my bloomin hair out trying to get it right and i'm desperate to get it back on the road!! Cheers in advance.
have a look on here :- Ducati Monster 600 750 900 1993 Service Manual - Download service / repair / owner / maintenance manuals, motorcycle tutorials, microfiche * if you are desperate (and you are certain return springs on carbs are working properly) you can remove the 'closing' cable for ease of assembly. *Monster linkage at carb end is identical to your SS
Welcome Craig, hope you getting it sorted, they really are a very good under rated bike, I bought mine earlier this year and I'm loving it, so does everyone else judging by the amount of interest I have in it whenever I am parked up.
Just put it in all the sections bloody OCD!!! Hello and welcome once your sorted they are lovely bikes
Hello, my 750 had the same problem, have you cleaned the bar up under the throttle grip, that was my problem.
