Hi! This location is on the left side of the motor, near the top, front by the valve cover. I’m trying to figure out what this part is called so I can replace the seal/gasket/part. I’m looking at the cover with 3 bolts holding it in place. thank you in advance.
It’s listed as just a cover but I can’t see a gasket for it , it’s just a sealant job. I’d bet that oil is coming from the cam cover though, mine did the same.
This cover is the retainer for the Cam gear drive. I would be carful just pulling this with out understanding the consequences of the internal gear dropping inside the cam chain drive void..
