  1. I haven't done it yet and I've a horrible head cold that has wiped me out for some reason, but I plan to get up midnight/early hours to watch this go by, it will be just like Thunderbirds. 12 mph Max.

  2. Well I’m back home, cop on the case was off today and they forgot to cancel my bail day.. bless them. Bail has been dropped and it’s now released pending further investigation apparently but she will ring me Monday to confirm if she can be arsed. Told it can go on indefinitely as well. Anyone who thinks we still have a professional police force in this country then sorry it’s much more keystone cops I’m afraid.
Oh and Worcester Ducati is definitely closed but all the bikes and stock are still in there!
    Right I’m getting pissed.

Then on to Currys, Coventry, to get a new games console, then home, via Aldi for a bit of food shopping

This afternoon was taken up by setting up the new games console, and doing a bit more of the reverse camera fitting on the van

  7. Natural History Museum today for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition with friends, followed by a lunch at Rocca in South Kensington.

If anyone is considering going I'd recommend the short video next to the two winners which explains the judges' thought process in selecting them (which translates as no I don't agree with it but I understand it :) )

  9. Listened to a few skeins of geese fly past overhead. I didn't realise they flew in the dark

  10. I’ve noticed them coming over mine at all hours (3am) recently but they do migrate large distances so I guess they do do night flights. Wonderful to hear them gabbling to each other as they go over though.

  11. From the RSPB

Not only that, but geese are able to use uni-hemispheric sleep when flying! Up in the air, geese flying in v-formations will use this adaptive technique to follow their lead bird while also getting some rest. When it's the lead bird's turn for rest, the bird will rotate positions and another will take its place.

  13. There were so many more. My favourite is probably the falcon with the butterfly in the other set for the composition and timing, but Mrs GG and I agreed that there was something about the ermine in the crevice (titled Between a Rock and a Hard Place) that would always bring a smile to our face so it’s come home for the snug.
