I recall seeing a much smaller heavy plant mover that had multiple axles all of which seemed to be 'steered' independently. Although I'm not so sure they were just allowed to move with the large turning forces rather than from any mechanical intervention.
these were 12 axle (48 tyres) fully steerable if necessary but they accomplish the two turns i watched without needing to use all 12. Load was 155 tonne dry.
