Hi all, I purchased a 400ss project recently... Currently im working through the (growing) list of jobs, but i cant wait to get it finished and ride it in spring! Will no doubt be posting to ask for help, advice, and maybe parts if needed. The biggest issue so-far is the tank, which is super-rusty inside. but im treating it with every chemical known to man, and its slowly working... patio cleaner was particularly good - but vinegar and bicarbonate of soda works slowly... Looks like all airbox and fuel hoses have perished... so im on the look-out for them... Seat is being recovered currently... Next bigger jobs are the belts and carb-clean... May need new exhausts, as the carbon has split on one... :-( Excuse the state of the garage, i was in the middle of tidying when i bought the 400SS!
