Are many people going to this? Looks pretty expensive to me, almost fifty pounds including car parking. I was going to go but have now decided not to bother.
We were due to go this year, but have decided not to, even though we've enjoyed it in the past. We go every other year to negate some of the 'sameness' of the show. This year however we just can't be bothered with the traffic lottery. On a good day the NEC is 2.5hrs from us, but in recent years work and leisure trips there for the NEC itself and NMM have taken up to 5hrs.
yup going sat but you're right its a bloody rip off. sure it was only £15 to get in a couple of years ago
I’ve still got the day set aside to go, but we’d normally book a local hotel to get in when the doors open without the early start, this year I’ve not booked a room so a bit torn. 6am start to get there is quite an ask now I’ve retired. 50/50 at the moment.
4 of us went on Saturday, didn't bother getting there until about 11, stopped at Superbike Factory on the way for breakfast, and had a quick look at the dirty bikes. No queuing to park, no queue to get in either, pretty busy inside but ok, left at about 4 ish again not queue to exit. We felt we were looking for another hall, but had been round all of it, none of us were looking for helmets clothing so that saved us a lot of trying on time. Cost £26 each including parking so not too bad
Its £23 on line. plus £2 booking. The £28 is for a entry plus a "toy". The car park is £10 if booked online in advance
cut and paste. probably too late for advanced cheaper tickets??? Adult on the door: £31.00 Adult online (from 15th Nov at 5pm): £28.30* Parking can still be bought online here, it will be £13.95 when booked a day before your visit or £18.95 when bought on the day.
Went yesterday, was a good day out - but not as many manufacturers there as in previous years, or independents. A few notable ones we couldn't find i.e. Aprilia, Piaggio (unless they were properly tucked away in a corner we didn't explore!)
As others have said £23 each, £10 parking £2 booking tax. Didn't bother with the cheap spanner offer.
We did the train this time, train to Birmingham International, and walked straight in. Also handy if you happen to need any new riding gear, some good deals to be had. I needed to update my helmet, and got a good £140 off the new one!
When did you book. Reckon that was the early bird deal cos defo not available now. Now 70p cheaper to book in advance when pay the "booking fee" than paying on the door
Been today. A day off work looking at new bikes is good with me. I’m fortunate though I can get there by train return for less than £10. The new KTM 990 RC is a stunner.
