I was at a Cadwell track day many moons ago and the cops decided to rock up in the paddock. It was comical watching bikes get shoved back into vans… ‘Got a V5 Sir?’ And if you want to see a proper scrote-fest then go to a crosser event. Some right shady looking gits there, bet 50% of the bikes are nicked…
I’d not considered the possibility of theft, nor did I know about Sev’s suggestion of using an agency to search for international theft reports. I’m now educated a little more. My basic concern was the inadvisability of buying a bike whose mechanical condition was uncheckable, plus the problems associated with an import with no NOVA . I’ll know better in future.
You must be a nice guy! My first thought was some poor bugger here on a biking holiday from the EU had their bike nicked.
