Sixth and last session of chemo completed yesterday, just a waiting game now, if the chemo can keep the tumour at bay for six months or longer then they can give me another session of chemo, three monthly checks from now on, time will tell. Steve
Fingers (legs & arms too) crossed for you mate. Then in about 8 months there might be an opening for a driver to Kabul via Kathmandu -so keep the 'phone on yeah?
Excellent news, another milestone reached, well done, Steve! Wishing you improving health, positivity, strength, courage and good humour. My best wishes
Thanks for the positive messages, chemo is finished, the last session hit me hard, lost appetite and taste was still bad, l lost more weight down to 73kg, 2 weeks ago the consultant put me back on a short course of steroids which have worked wonders, my appetite returned and taste improved resulting in me enjoying food for the first time in months. I have put a bit of weight back on, now 76kg. At my last meeting with the consultant he said the chemo had done its job and stabilised the tumour, I couldn't really ask for more at this stage. Steve Looking forward to Christmas now.
I hope you get time to reflect on the mental side of this chapter and finally get to take some rest. Best of luck!
