So what do we think ? My initial focus was drawn to the huge radiator panel. Make a protector screen for that ! The launch presentation I saw was only with an Italian commentary so got probably less than 50% of the detail but seems to me, the bike is very track focussed with performance totally unsuited to UK roads. Gorgeous wheels but impractical for the ruts and potholes we have and I suspect it’ll have bone shaking firm suspension. No details on the web site yet but the V4S ain’t going to be cheap Given the KTM dilemma, I have to ask myself, why ? Not a bike I have any intention of considering but I’m sure the first production run will be sold out by tomorrow. Andy
I cannot see the point of naked bike with that sort of power. If you wanted a road bike the V2 would be so much better and if you want a track bike just buy the Panigale. And Wings on naked bikes look ridiculous.
Unless there is going to be a one make naked series like the F800 cup, I don’t get the idea of track focussed naked bikes.
Went to Ducati.com to see what the excitement was, and the first thing that popped up was the announcement of a Lego Technic model of the new V4S Panagale, available on 01JAN25 for £169.99. Who's going to pay that when you can pick up a Lego Technic BMW M1000RR for £11 less from Smyths and have it delivered to your door the next day. What a world we live in today......
And again…. £25k!!!! £23k for the cooking fat model. Cardiff Ducati advertising brand new ‘old’ model for £20k, so… would you save yourself £5k and get the already excellent current model, I think I would
If the 'improvement' over the previous model, is as marked as the difference in the new Panigale V4, it'll be awesome, until the novelty wears off Given the number of (very) low mileage Hypermotard Monos currently for sale, the novelty doesn't take long to wear off. Andy
They are making ridiculously expensive bikes with more power and gadgetry than ever, most of which will never get used in normal road conditions. Bonkers.
