Looking at the Monster SP and got this message, any ideas on what might appear? We've got something special in store for you And we can't wait for you to see it. Please check back soon.
Prompted by your post, I just checked the Ducati.com website but didn’t get the same message. The SP was only launched last year and there was nothing new about the SP at the Motorcycle Live show. I am expecting a model release statement from Ducati today but not about the Monster range. Longer term, I hope the 937cc engine will be replaced by the new 890cc V2. Andy
Not aware of anything happening with Monster, but there's a couple more new bike "premieres" to come yet. One today and then another maybe next week? before the Cologne show
Ducati.com is clearly in meltdown, they have put up a dead link to the new Multistrada V2 due for launch later today. Also have not got to the bottom of why the Accessories catalogue is only showing a fraction of what is available Andy
Always a risky marketing strategy to use terms like ‘more special’. you know that £60k Bentley bike we told you was special, well this £65k one is MORE special… get a grip Ducati
That top picture is lifted straight out of the Ducati web site, from the article announcing the Desmo 450 MX launch in 2023. The bike successfuly competed in the 2024 Italian domestic series and I've seen somewhere that the 450 will contest the world championship in 2025. The launch blurb stated the intention was to develop a range of off-road models but IMO, it's too soon to talk new bikes but what do I know Andy
It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest to see that in general sale within the next 12 months, both as an MX version and an Enduro/Rally (road legal) version. Heaven knows there’s going to be a big hole in the marketplace if KTM can’t be saved.
can’t wait for Ducati to start to experience MX customers, slightly less worried about dirty boots on their mirror finished showroom floors!!! also, no doubt it will be £2k more than any of the other brands, most expensive currently being the KTM’s generally. £2k for a motocrosser is literally their entries for the season. oh, and having grown up with motocross paddocks, they absolutely HATE Ducati, with a passion. It took KTM years and years to get a foothold in the amateur paddocks
