We have a new member of the family. After we lost our Springer in the summer, Daisy our JRT seemed to lose a bit of her mojo, understandable as it's the first time in her life she hasn't had another dog for company. Anyway, we decided to go down the rescue route, and yesterday we went to visit Dotty ( I know...... ) who eventually came home with us. She's 6.5 kg of possibly miniature pinscher, or ratonero, or ..... but she's about 12 months old and a very gentle soul who was picked up off the streets, sent to a dog pound ( not particularly good over here ) before she was seen by a local rescue and taken on to be rehomed. Completely forgot I’d ordered a couple of these crawling crabs for Xmas for the dogs about 4 weeks ago and they turned up Friday evening. Very funny. Can recommend.
We’ve got a Ratonera (Bodaguera etc) bitch. She’s lovely. Came from Spain. Very very timid at first and still jumpy but she’s a completely different dog to 5 years ago. Yours might have a bit of Manchester Terrier too?
Brilliant thanks This has been a 'textbook' litter (so far). Mum Fly has been fabulous this time round (she wasn't very maternal with her first litter). All eyes are open and they can hear now. They're just getting used to their legs and I've started weaning them.
Reuben had surgery yesterday to remove a small benign, yet growing, lump from his forehead. Also had his teeth cleaned whilst he was anethatised. At ten years old with OK teeth I wouldn't have bothered doing that in isolation. He's not particularly impressed poor chap... Was suprised at his appearance but it's just a matter of time until he doesn't look like a Frankendog.
