For Sale Ebay Bikes

I owned one of these. It was a great old bike (rode well, amazing soundtrack...), but I just couldn't get on with that webber carb and eventually sold it at Bonhams (see photo).
I was considering a swap to Mikuni carbs but it would lost it's originality.

I have read a few times about the webber carb.

 

Totally right re: 44DCNF carburation, and it was even worse on the 750 although defended vociferously as adequate on the Paso Forum, early 750/906 were similarly equipped (Bless them).

 

Seems like it could be sold already.

 

A bargain in my opinion especially as from Franks as he's normally very expensive.!

 

Thought the same cheap for his shop.

 

Just looked at the other stuff and prices are ‘interesting’ to say the least. £7.5k for an Ariel Leader? That would be a world record price by some margin surely. Loads of other stuff at eye watering prices which makes the 900ss really stand out.

 

I must say I didn’t have any issue with my 750 Paso carburettor wise and was completely ignorant until joining this forum that they were notorious for being chite.

 

Strange damage, how did it crack the yoke and not bend the forks and muller the front wheel?

Could be the lock stop 'lug' snapped off.

 

That’s what it looks like but to rip a hole in it and crack it is one hell of an impact, normally you can almost snap the Ducati lock stops off with your fingers.

 

controversial, so a short post from me, but often this kind of impact just finds the weakest link doesn't it? if the wheel and tyre impacted head on, on a large surface area, with some compliance, then this could've been the result with hardly any visible damage apparent to either wheel or forks.

100%, i've 8k on mine and wouldn't sell it for that low price, but some folk DO NEED THE MONEY and can upset the marketplace with these low asking prices in my opinion.

 

Will be interesting to see how long it remains for sale at that price.

 

I’ve sort of been given the clearance to get a second bike. I’m in a quandary though. My head says an older Multi 1200. (Must have cruise control for touring) heart says 748/749 or this super light now I’ve seen it.
This super light looks ace but I’d need to clean it after every ride, it would look great next to my super sport tho, any thoughts?
