There’s certainly a few less trees on the farm than when I was here in October, which means more logs for the fire, every cloud and all that.

Managed to catch a cold & sore throat over the weekend, but am cracking on with it, as we’ve got 7 of us tomorrow, and 18 on Boxing Day, and I’m doing most of the cooking.

 

I'd a meal with two friends yesterday evening which was nice, watched a couple of Deltic engine programmes as you do.
Also spoke with the old man regarding the government taking .45 in the pound away from charities..................his comment was if only he knew that when he's gone the cats home would get everything.

 

Smashed out another gym session, final one before the indulgences commence. Spent the afternoon cooking & preparing stuff for the next couple of days. Ramped up my boozy chocolate trifle, as we had a load of rum going off, so it needed using up! Chinese takeaway tonight, was as awful as they always are.

 

Careful with that trifle - you know how the last one made you feel rough the next day....

 

It’s amazing how quickly Rum goes off, the amount I have to drink to save throwing it away.

Having a rather good evening around the dinner table....France celebrates the evening of the 24th... introduced everyone to the game "killer"... bloody hilarious.

 

Just back from a family evening dinner at a place called wall2wall which is Asian street food plus you normal Indian food. Had Salmon something or other, very good, I’m £165 lighter!

 

Even my darkly polluted mind can’t correlate the connection. Maybe it’s the whiskey!
