cycled to a supermarket to take advantage of some Christmas bargains for the freezer, gave into temptation and bought below which had me scratching my head, who says that there aren't any windfalls in life anymore?
Met up with some guys from the Hereford branch and Northampton branch of the owners club at Ducati Coventry, a “balmy” 3 degrees in moist/misty conditions. Finger tips got cold Not seen this colour before. Prefer the racing green.
She must be mad. Without a doubt, that place is the worst holiday we’ve ever had. It’s an over rated shit hole, full of dishonest scum bags.
Had a full on Christmas, we had my wife’s family on Christmas Day, then my lot on Boxing Day, 17 in total, I did most of the cooking. We’ve had a house full staying for the last 4 nights, but now have the house back to ourselves, so on the one hand it’s nice to be back to normal, but it’s also a bit flat here. Especially as the Mrs fell asleep about half an hour ago. Still, I can now get stuck in to all the wine and chocolates that everyone left behind, without getting told off!
Mrs GG wanted to do the M&S sale at Brooklands so I was deposited at the Silvermere golf sale in order that she could shop in peace. Cost me 2 pairs of trousers and a shirt. Bargain of the day there was a set of Callaway irons, £1,000 off RRP but they are beyond my abilities so they stayed there.
Put up the new curtain rail and black out curtains I was gifted for my bedroom. Neighbours’ houses either side are lit up like the Las Vegas strip. Andy
Replaced a head light bulb in the car and spent another hour looking in vain for the two idle jets that I can't believe I would have thrown out.
Getting out of my flu sickbed. Honestly was worse than any times I had covid. Did not sleep a wink in 2 nights. Most amazingly for me I completely lost my appetite. This is a major benefit as I must start eating better especially less sweets and crap. So nice to feel the fresh air(I type as the bin lorry goes past). Dog had been by my side literally petting me definitely knowing I was reasonably ill . Now I can walk and talk it’s back to normal , walks now expected with a good wrestling match too. Joking aside. It was a rough ride, in pain and not sleeping. If anyone else is suffering I wish you a speedy recovery. I will restart my flu jabs next year!
