I've based my comment on the configurator - try to add the DTC software without the full exhaust - it won't let you. Do you mean you had the DTC software for slicks added to a stock bike? My understanding was that you needed the Akrapovic map installed for the dealer software to offer the DTC for slicks software as an option.
Excellent. Definitely gives the rear more grip and any adjustments it makes are smooth and predictable. The bike is pretty good as it is, this just gives it more of an edge. The Ducati spiel is that is makes more predictive changes to get ahead of it getting out of hand. It definitely feels like that is what is happening.
Exactly. That’s not how it works. Battered R6 or a V4SL. Everyone’s having fun!! I like to ogle all bikes in the paddock.
Saw the new one in the flesh at my office parking lot. Mehh Too plasticky. Way too many plastic components. I guess this is a marketing / sales strategy to make us spend more on DP trinkets. I felt the most hideous part was the exhaust heat guard, and how the rear set heel guard sits flush against the heat guard. Went back home and looked at my 1299S and didn't feel the urge to upgrade.
I saw one in the dealership and wasn't bowled over. I mean I like it, but I also don't feel the urge to run out and buy. The R will be the one to have but the price tag on that is going to be silly.
You’re paying for a magnificent engine. Everything else is shite. If you want to improve it, you’ll pay yourself.
I think it looks plastic in most of the pictures but I’ve seen a few videos and it looks stunning ‘in the flesh’ as such. Either way, it’s about £10k out my price range so ultimately doesn’t matter
