A friend of a friend of mine has a 2005 Aprilia Shiver 750 SL and is in need of a voltage regulator/rectifier. He tried an aftermarket one and it didnt work properly and nearly burned out the loom. Do you know anyone with some old new stock or a breaker bike (or reliable aftermarket parts) as he has had one on backorder from the factory for 11 weeks... TIA
Have you tried an oem mosfet (2nd hand) from any of the main bike makers including Ducati? I have a used a couple of used oem MOSFET regs on my 916 & 900SL work great and they seem very reliable . If converting from an old style shunt reg/rec (unlikely on a 2005 bike?) a triumph reg/rec sub loom makes the change easy.
