So Who Will Buy A Bike In 2025?

  1. They are amazing value - basically the same engine as a 916 at about a quarter of the price, and comfortable to ride if you’re getting on a bit.

  4. I used to get a bit of tennis elbow on mine but get that on most upright bikes after a long ride

  5. I've got a tatty old FJ1200 that I bought on eBay 8 years ago that is incredibly ergonomic - I can ride that all day with barely a twinge. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to sell it to make room for the ST4 - it's probably worth about £800, which is crazy for the most comfortable and reliable bike I've ever owned.

  12. I'm currently swithering on selling my Pani V4S but I don't really see anything I fancy. If Yamaha were to bring out a V4 R1 then I'd be at the front of the queue though

  13. I'll let you know, currently 2 weeks off my 71st and definitely not old yet :D Andy

  14. I do find myself looking at old ST triumph, VFR 800s, similar bikes that seem super cheap to buy and potentially run

  15. Not a bike, but, may look at changing my car (again)

  16. Before I had the MV I had a succession of VFRs over some 16 years. Solid, well made bikes. A bit lardy and not particularly quick or fine handling but all the same I toured and relied on them for all that time. Comfortable and capable mile munchers on a budget. Started on a 750 and ended on a VTEC. Did consider an ST at one point as that was a step up in terms of power and relative modernity at the time.
