V2 Pani V2

  1. Claudio Domenicali on MM #93

“It was then a big surprise to get a phone call from Marc at the end of the day where he told me that not only he loved the quick handling of the bike and the super comfortable riding position and the “electric” power delivery but was able to lap in 1’12.2 sec that I have been told from my people is just same lap time of the unofficial track record for the Supersport class”!!

“Marc also used the 2024 Panigale V2 but in full race trim, and lap time was the same
But the 2025 Panigale V2 had a fully legal catalized exhaust, headlight, tail light, side stand …! We cannot wait to test with him and Pecco the 2025 Panigale in full race trim, with 126 HP instead of 120 HP and close to 10 kg of weight saving for elimination all the road legal stuff!

  3. It’s worth nowhere near that price. It needs £4k+ off that.

  4. Yep, that's what I said to them..., it's on Facebook marketplace, could be dodgy in any case

  5. I’ve been in the big corporates where this style of press release is drafted and drafted to stretch some truths to the absolutely limit. It’s getting so boring, and more boring when people (not aiming this at Duke63! But the media) repost it as proof the new bike is incredible.

if you look it was a kart track, where power is going to mean nothing, and the ‘Supersport’ record is more than likely Marquez last year on his cbr600rr which in fairness still has 20hp less than the new V2….

until we see an independent road test and track test by a non Ducati employee breaking down the benefits of each, it’s totally meaningless vapour-ware.

oh and even when we do, and someone tells you the new V2 suddenly makes last years bike a disgusting slow piece of junk, we still should think hard about whether we need £17k spend on a new one or buy a couple of year old ‘piece of junk’ V2 that’s still better than all of us for £10k.

sorry in advance y’all, clearly I’m grumpy. Anyone giving out hugs?

  6. Because its been stolen and repaired?

  7. To be fair, Marquez would probably be quicker on that track on a C90 than most people would be on a Pani V4.
I get your point though. It’s the way of the world now. I still reckon there will be a v2R at some point with a fair bit more power.

  8. The current Panigale V2 has to run a mostly stock engine in the BSB Superstock and the bike is ‘levelled’ to death in WSSK so I don’t see any driver for Ducati to produce a V2 ‘R’. Andy

  9. Yes. It’s a cat bike. Worth nowhere near the normal retail price.

  12. Money.
You only have to look at how quickly the top models sell out to see there is a market for it with very little new investment in it from Ducati.

Since when did 'wet' mean without fuel (unless you're riding in the rain)?

    Sick of the BS.
