  2. Purchased a Galaxy Tab S9+
I've got to say, crazily impressed, it's a genuine PC replacement (with the DeX option) at the same time as being a super flexible tablet experience. The tech seems like it's starting to deliver on promises made 5 years ago...:upyeah:

  5. The 2nd local estate agent is coming this afternoon to value my house.

Tomorrow and Thursday I've got the new house builders surveyors coming to value it to see if its worth doing a p/x. The builder seems to think it'll be a worthwhile exercise. I seriously doubt it.

  6. Be prepared for them to find the odd anomaly here and there which will ultimately be reflected in their offer to you.

  7. Took a trip into town to have a watch appraised and the 2 links I’d had added to the bracelet from new, removed. Anyone have experience of dealing with Chrono24 ? Andy

  8. The two local estate agents have valued it within a couple of grand of each other. I fully expect the builders surveyors to be massively under those valuations.

  9. Is it what you expected or are prices dropping?

  10. Its about what I expected. If prices were dropping I'd be staying where I am.

  11. That’s good to know, I want to get my place valued but not sure if I can be arsed with the hassle at the minute.

  12. Well yesterdays surveyor went through everything with a fine tooth comb, spent a 1h 3/4 looking, measuring, photographing etc and also explained to me how the whole p/x process works and how to take advantage of certain situations from a financial pov if I needed to. When he left he said it was probably the best property he'd seen in 30 years of dealing with p/x's and though he couldn't give any details of what his report would recommend financially he didn't think there'd be a problem getting what I wanted/needed.

The second surveyor has just been too. In contrast he spent all of 15 mins, if that, taking pics and notes. Again he said as it was a new build and pretty much in showroom condition, he didn't think there would be a problem getting what I wanted/needed to do a deal.

Apparently I should hear from the builders p/x dept by Saturday. I'll still need the builder to jump through a few hoops to make the numbers work even if I get what I want for the house, so we'll see how that goes in due course. But so far so good. :)

  16. So the management haven't got the guts to do "the deed" themselves? Gutless!

  17. Exactly this. Plus to get the news (presumably cold) via email would be enough for me to look for a new employer.
Best of luck mate. Hope it all works out for you.

  18. Received a text saying
    ‘hi dad my new number’
I replied with ‘ Hi Tom, thought I hadn’t heard from you in while. Did you loose your old phone?’
The response was ‘Yes I lost it this morning’

    Thing is I don’t have a son!
Waiting for the next instalment with credit card details at hand
