  1. I always wanted a Supermoto so thought I'd build one. Started off buying a pair of Carbon Alpina wheels then found a 2013 CRF450R with only about 4 hours on it. Stirpped it down and had the frame powder coated then started to bolt some parts to it.
Took me a little longer than expected to build it and I could have purchased 4 used bikes for the same money I've spent but where is the fun in that lol.

Tecstra shorter, wider swing arm with Supermoto chain guide
Alpina Carbon wheels 16.5 front 17.0 rear with Dunlop slicks
FaBa wheels 16.5 front 17.0 rear with Michelin wets
Raptor Titanium pegs with replaceable sliders
    SP Electronics quick shifter
    Faor adjustable triple clamps
    Full Yoshimura exhaust with protectors
Beringer from brake set up with 310mm discs
    Venhill brake lines
Ohlins rear shock shortened and re-valved
Original Showa forks shortened and re-valved with anodised Gold legs, Black Nitride coated stanchions and Black powder coated feet
    Pro Circuit suspension linkage
Billet suspension knuckle (I forget the manufacturer)
    Acerbis Supermoto hand guards
    ASV clutch leaver
Sigma slipper clutch with Boysen cover
    GMX oil catch tank
    GMX larger capacity radiators
    HRC radiator overflow
    Boysen uprated water pump
    Samco Silicone hoses
    Pro Taper fat bars
    Custom skateboard axle sliders
CMT carbon sump and engine guards
Pro Carbon frame, front sprocket, ignition cover and fuel tank guards
    Renthal 520 chain and sprockets
    Shorter front mudguard
    Pro Circuit launch device
    Blackbird seat hump

Probably forgotten some of the changes.

Ideally I'd like to change the forks for full Ohlins or at least cartridges and fit a CMT carbon fuel tank but I should probably ride it first.

  4. I was going to make it road legal and still might. I have the proof of age from Honda, a number plate holder and a horn. Just need to get a 17 inch front wheel as you can’t get Goldspeed 16.5 inch tyres anymore. I did have new set but in a moment of madness I sold them.

  5. Only way to have it imho. Otherwise where do you use it? And those bikes, as I know from riding with a guy who used one similar, are very, very quick and fun on lower speed roads!!

I’m now looking at SM on eBay :skull:

  6. I have never had so much fun falling off…..
