Any sycophantic phrase such as ‘interesting’ which, when asked, they can’t exactly describe anything that was interesting.
"LITERALLY"! WE literally have a winner! I pull up my kids on that daily. I dislike lazy lingo, so me does.
Not so much an issue with any specific word or phrase, but improper intonation is one of my triggers. I can't abide people who raise the tone of their voice at the end of a sentence. It unwittingly adds an air of being patronising (to the poor souls listening) or that they somehow are required to adopt this irritating affliction to make themselves understood. It says as much about their lack of self awareness as their stupidity IMHO.
