Just watched Bottom Exposed, seeing Ade Edmondson talking about Rik and getting upset was quite heart wrenching. I love everything they ever did together, very sad.
I gave up after 3 episodes of S1 as was a bit too much 50’s boys own cartoon caper for me. But I did like Ungentlemanly Conduct movie which stays just in the line
Let’s face it he was one trick pony. A very good one. But Edmondson isn’t. their early days as the dangerous brothers were mental and one of the forerunners for the more modern ‘how much can we hurt each other’ brigade
He was great at the character he did, with variations for Alan B’stard and Flash Heart. Drop Dead Fred was him at him manic, crazy best as was his last job as the dad in Man Doen
The Masters snooker. Superb. It's a sad indictment on this country that darts has overtaken it in popularity. Whats next, televised Jenga? "This country" etc...
The Arctic Convoy. Norwegian (I think) film about a wartime convoy to Russia. Like Greyhound, without the Hollywood heroics. Very good.
A Few Good Men with Tom Cruise, the man with the bite Jack Nicholson and the sexy Demi Moore made back in 1992... i'm getting old looking at that date.
Looking forward to catching up with Severance, series two, released on Friday. Mark leads a team of office workers whose memories have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives. When a mysterious colleague appears outside of work, it begins a journey to discover the truth about their jobs.
Finished American Primal. Worth a watch. Gritty, graphic, and I’m not sure US is that much different in 2025…..
He is guilty of being in a film alongside Dwayne Johnson... Other than that he can't seem to do any wrong. Recently(ish) he was excellent in both Goliath and Fargo.
