  1. “We will learn the lessons from this” - after every disaster/tragedy borne out of repeatedly ignoring every warning!

  2. They're told to do that sometimes, Civil Aviation Authority is an example.

  4. They can’t be forced to do it, although there is no doubt unspoken pressure to do so or else be marked down as “far right” and end up top of the list for the next round of redundancies or restructuring by the HR commissars.

One of my brothers works for a local authority and he had a bit of aggro a couple of years ago when he pushed back against such a “suggestion” from management. Ironically, he has one of the wokest jobs it’s possible to have as his role involves attempting to encourage healthy living habits in hard to reach communities so he does stuff like getting Bangladeshis to play badminton, organising a Somalian women’s basketball tournament or setting up a transgender cricket team.

  5. Service and success, two very different roles yet often blurred together. I used to run a team with a mix of service engineers and success managers and it was painful explaining why the success member is not there to service the software lol

  8. I loathe that. If anyone answers me with 'interesting' I assume it isn't and make no further enquiry...:bucktooth:

  10. My pet hate though it may not fall into "wokeism" is the phrase
    "All of a sudden"
    WTF is a "sudden"
We have a perfectly usable word "suddenly"
People would rather use 4 words instead of one but when they have to use more than one word they use a series of letters and hope that people know what they are saying
    Eg WTF, PMSL etc.
FFS say what you.mean so there is no misunderstanding.
There were some laughing emoji but the didn't appear FFS

  11. Anything described as 'insane'.

Also the everyday use of 'shell-shocked', when someone was a teeny bit scared. It's an insult to those that really suffered.

  17. Custodians.

When we are watching one of the numerous Kevin McCloud/George Clarke/Charlie Luxton renovation programmes and they say “we are just custodian's of the building”, me and the mrs just look at each other and role our eyes : unamused:

Stop spouting such Bollocks! Your not doing it up because you owe it to the building, your doing it because your Mrs doesn’t want to live in a shithole and she wants to show off to her mates how rich you are, (most blokes couldn’t give a shit as long as it’s got a big, warm, dry garage ;))
You’re not the National fuckin Trust!!!!
