1260 1260 Akrapovic / Dominator Mid Pipe

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Justatad, Jan 22, 2025.

  1. Well chuffed with the exhaust note & fitment on the dominator mid pipe & Akrapovic can ( baffle in )
Healtech exhaust flap delete plug also fitted
Didn’t get stung with import tax either on the mid pipe, which was a welcome bonus
Excuse the lack of protective wear, it was a rushed & impatient video on my part
Side note - I had a base model dvt before the 1260, so no centre stand , the stand on this really is butt ugly !!..it might have to go

  2. Nice - fit this all yourself? Where did you get the parts from?

  3. Yes , fitted it myself, x car mechanic , so I know my way around a spanner, it’s pretty straightforward to be honest
The can was from cal sport ( uk ) Black Friday sale ..still £820
The mid pipe was via eBay (Poland ) , £155 posted
The exhaust flap delete plug , via eBay £45 posted

  6. It hit close to home haha

@Justatad as for the centre stand, chuck it, I only put it on the bike for long trips, outside of that it's sat on a shelf in the garage. My main gripe with it is the knocking and slapping from it when you go over bumps.

  7. Aye Sir,
(Ref. 2015 Multistrada 1200S with ABS and DVT).

When you fitted the exhaust parts did you do any modification to the Injection Control Unit (ECU) ?
Change the unit or re-programme to compensate for the reduced exhaust back pressure ?
I ask as I believe Ducati listed a Termigoni system in the accessories catalogue and it came with a replacement ECU.

  8. No need to tune / re calibrate according to my local tuner & I have complete faith in him , the bike runs perfectly as is.

  9. Just as a separate opinion for thought, my local tuner said it does need a tune after it so your mileage may vary (ignore the pun!)
