David Lynch, the maverick American director who sustained a successful mainstream career while also probing the bizarre, the radical and the experimental, has died aged 78.
Oh no! One of my favourite directors. R.I.P. Took my girlfriend on a first date to see Eraserhead at the Hyde Park Cinema Headingly. (Still married to her)
Twin Peaks, Wild at Heart & Eraser Head were all amazing. Thanks David Lynch, there really isn't anyone who made movies like yours. RIP.
On a slightly more prosaic note, Tony Book Manchester City stalwart. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/ckgr0ely6geo
Loved him when I was a kid, simply because he was a real late starter and proof that you can be anything if you put your mind to it
RIP John Sykes, Tygers of Pan Tang, Thin Lizzy and Whitesnake guitarist. Thanks for the memories John.
