Greetings I'm after any info on fitting the PP tail to the Rs - I know that previous posts have fitted the rs tail to the pikes peak but I'm after putting a rack on mine rather than using panniers. Any info will be greatly appreciated Cheers All
I went the other way, fitting an RS tail to a PP. It’s really straight forward. The only thing to bear in mind are the rubber bungs that the seat locates into. They will be glued into your existing unit. It’s far easier to buy a couple of new ones. About an is all it takes to swap them over.
True but on an RS …. As you say , not my bike but for me the standard RS makes a statement, a top box would run it .IMHO
Thanks for all the input I'm only putting the PP tail on so I can carry a ventura bag when I go away this year - only to be fitted for trips, the rest of the time it will used as intended.. Will be the same setup as I had on my PP. I have bought panniers aswell but I'm not really a fan as you get a bit of a wobble at 120plus Cheers All
Superb Have been into the dealers and ordered the plastic seat subframeathingy mebob and the rubber bump things - well under £300 for the lot
Don’t know what that is! But I thought I’d post some pictures of the seat unit as it arrived from the supplier. It might give you an idea as how easy it was to install.
