It’s that time again. Obviously I am not full of hope for my team (Wales). So before any of you lot start…… Here are my predictions for the final 6N table: 1. It's 2. Too early 3. To 4. Make 5. Predictions 6. Wales And to ensure I get my retaliation in first….. Let the fun begin.
getting the excuses in early i see. tho it aint looking to good for us either due to top players and their injuries.
Looking at the Champions Cup screening phase, France is looking very decent this time round, with Top players all performing and happy when on the field. Did you guys watch Toulouse last couple games? Holy Molly… Now Willis, Kinghorn and Capuozzo are world class in that team. Too bad they can’t play for France… Brace yourselves lads, some serious trouble coming your way !
I’m excited for 6N to be on the TV. if England beat Italy, Wales & Scotland that will be in my opinion the minimum acceptable championship. COME ON England!
I just don’t get why England’s rugby federation will not allow English players playing in foreign clubs to join the XV of the Rose. I understand there’s a need to safe guard the English rugby championship, but there has to be other ways to keep your key players home. Incentive ways, rather than coercitive ones… Willis would be a fantastic weapon in your squad. I can’t believe he is lost to English international rugby. What he does for Toulouse is simply amazing !
I think the biggest loss to England International Rugby because of the ruling is Henry Arundell. Although I believe he's on his way back to the UK having signed for Bath. The 6N makes this one of my favorite times of the year, and what's really nice is that Lady Nasher equally enjoys watching it. I've not played for a number of years now, and both my boys gave up when they finished school, but RU is still very much a big part of our family life.
Great post. Same in our house and broader family (brothers/neices/nephews). The face that it signals Spring around the corner is a big plus too.
For me as i live in England it's the red rose team as always, but every year they do frustrate me with their style of rugby / huge talent on offer but never seemed to nail it for some odd reason. Watching the gallagher premiership on a regular basis since BT sport came along it's great to see where these chaps are picked from and how they gel on the pitch with team sport. France are up there with the Donald Trump format, making things happen unlike us and others. The Scots should do well based on their form in recent times, but like other fans i don't like onesided rugby so tight matches are the order of the day for me.
Italy had stepped up a notch last year. It would be nice if they've done it again, but unfortunately I don't think they have, which means games like France/Italy and Ireland/Italy won't be that entertaining.
Re Scotland, Kinghorn is a machine! Love to watch him play for Toulouse. I really expect him to deliver some for the coming tournament. Can’t wait!!
France/Italy is always a challenging game. It’s like when we play Argentina. There’s definitely something about two « Latin » teams facing each other, that makes for dramatic games…
The second season of the Netflix 6 Nations documentary series came out yesterday, focused on last year’s edition. Great footage and interviews, apparently.
