I’ll give it a couple of weeks for them to return my stuff then I will report it as theft to the chief constable, I’ve already had to contact him just to get my iPad back because I was being repeatedly ignored. They tried to say they didn’t take the charger but my wife watched them take it.
On the phone with my Son, he’s been offered a place at Cambridge Uni provisionally. Needs an A in A level Chemistry even though Chemistry isn’t within the subject he’s going to study….. At least he’s hopefully got in to Durham or Imperial, he’s a definite for Warwick but we all know that’s just polishing the turd that is Coventry Uni.
Oh I realise that but I’m not going to let them get away with losing/ stealing it. The police are absolute scum and almost as bad as my rat shit pikey neighbours.
Bought tickets for the Teenage Cancer Trust comedy night at the RAH this morning. Spent the afternoon listening to a financial advisor explaining his firms investment plans should we choose to go with them, having sacked off the last lot.
Been on the phone again with my Son for a couple of hours. He’s now been offered a place at Durham which is his second choice Uni just waiting on UCL and Imperial London. His European work colleagues have left where he’s working the ski season in Japan, his Japanese isn’t coming on as well as he’d like but is improving.
Durham Uni is really good, but are you aware they have had real problems with the lack of affordable student housing? (To research, but was defo an issue a couple of years back)
Thanks, yes I’m aware of the student accommodation problem in Durham. We could I guess buy a camper van, which is a serious possibility given he wants to do a lot of outdoor activities whilst he up North. I’d prefer if he doesn’t go Cambridge for it to be one of the two London Universities over Durham. I’m sure accommodation wouldn’t be such an issue there. Warwick is the last of the selection I believe he should attend but it’s close enough for him to stay home which I’m not sure he’ll want to do now he has tasted independence.
Ride out with my Brother on his Triumph Tiger and my 2 mates on their Multis, Andy’s first ride out on his Multistrada, it’s quite a machine! Went to Baffle Haus in Abergavenny via Hereford then returned via Ross on Wye, Ledbury, Malvern and Worcester. 150 cold ish miles but really needed it, good for the soul. managed to get a bin in the Photo for Ducs!
Went for a walk at Southend this afternoon and an Italian for lunch we go to, I had to take this of the second hand shop next door, Made me laugh
Booked a ticket for the Led Zeppelin biopic at the flicks; it’s a week and a half away but our local looks like it’s only having 1 showing. And wasted 4 hours of my life watching The Brutalist.
Shed a tear . A friend of mine passed away today . I had only known Pete for about six years but he had become a really good friend . I have done five european trips away with him as well as the usual sunday rideoute etc . He was messaging our group chat last night suggesting air BnB's to stay, in June when we all go away this year . We had a message from his daughter to say he had passed away whilst at work in the morning and we were the last activity on his phone . Pete was only 60 years old and was hoping to get his trusty fireblade over 65,000 miles on this years trip . RIP CBR Pete
