  1. I'm never sure if it's a good thing but my wife works for a pharmaceutical company and gets all the info on oncology treatments so whenever someone is receiving chemo she knows from which drug they're getting roughly what their chances are. I always know when it's not good because if certain drugs are being discussed she keeps quiet but if it's one with a very high chance of full recovery she chips in.

    Luckily she's not always right and when she said that a work colleague of mine only had a few months she was miles out and 2 years on he's back at work and seems to have made a full recovery.

  3. This thread really has made me think and thank you really doesn't hit the spot as for the appreciation I personally feel to each and everyone of you for providing my sanctuary from the outside world. Oh and putting up with my waffle. I am lucky to be part of this forum.

I dont think i know anyone who hasnt been touched by Cancer in some way or other, my mother died from it some time ago, then my father met a lovely lady who had already had it but was given the all clear, 18 months after they married it came back, a year later she passed away, it was difficult for me, how he managed to keep it together i will never know.
    Sometimes you need to kick your own back side to put the minor stuff into perspective.
