  1. Yes, why not.

  2. Is that pic AI generated? It’s got that hyper-realistic quality such images often have

  3. I know nothing of such things.

  4. It definitely is, look at the rear wheel.

  5. I agree it's a fake.
The original car, A Delahaye 135 of some spec or another I think, isn’t exactly a small car in the first place, so I’m guessing such an addition would be absolutely huge if real giving @3 feet of headroom.

Also, I can’t believe Delahaye would create anything so awful, and anyone modifying one so would be lynched.

  7. Where’s the OP? Hanging his head in shame, as he’s purchased one of these monstrosities?

  8. I’ve also been wondering why he’s AWOL.

    @Advikaz - we hope you’re ok :upyeah:

  9. Can’t work out if it’s an actual poppy nonce or just a hippy called poppy who likes really uncomfortable camping and excessive garage bills.. I’ll let the forum decide.

  10. That’s a water cooled Brazilian made one from the 90s/ early 00s. Just as bad as the originals, if not worse, but were nearly £40k new!!!! Why anyone would do that is beyond me but people buy range rovers for more I guess and that makes even less sense.

  11. Years ago me and the wife hired one very similar to go to a music festival
Truly shocking brakes and the steering felt as if you were at sea. The owner christened it mushroom as asked me to keep it under 70. Flat out it did 80.
Gave me the inspiration to buy one though, albeit a modern one.

  12. 80mph is really good going for one of those. I stupidly bought one in the early 90s as they were dirt cheap but they are so shit it’s just not worth the effort. Even properly set up it struggled to do 70mph for more than few miles without the oil temp going silly. The only good thing was that the roads ahead were always clear (as everyone was stuck behind you :joy:) HHU925N was the reg of mine, wonder if it’s still around…….

  13. Just looked and my old shed made it to 2017 but with the value of these rot boxes chances are it could be in a shed somewhere even now.

  14. Mrs had an original air cooled, sold it to place a deposit on her house.

A mate had one when he did his yearly Cornwall trip he would always make sure that it wouldn’t start and either the AA or RAC would transport it home.

An ex work colleague converted his to Subaru power.

  16. Shame, the Calibra in standard trim as its meant to be is still a nice car for its time - so to do that to it, agree with the hang head in shame bit there

  17. It’s a happy hippy, female at a wildly outrageous guess.

It’s missing a ‘lest we forget’ sticker for a Poppy Day fan.

  18. To be honest the photo is fairly old, the owner who is in the pic caught me sneaking the picture and had a big grin thinking I thought I was taking a photo of a ferrari, he was even wearing a ferrari t shirt, the wheels had ferrari badges in the centre, he had really went to town.

  19. Hahaha! For real? I hadn’t noticed the Ferrari badge until you pointed it out. That’s absolutely spectacular
