  1. Why does losing 5kg in body weight ring a bell somewhere? ;)

  2. I follow SR on Strava, he posts the training he does regularly, and there is plenty! Really fit guy, and a very good cyclist. Recent photos of himself show a big difference in the weight he has lost, certainly very lean.

  3. Hes always struggled with being one of the larger riders but thats some effort - no food and no wages.
I wondef if hes "motivated" enough for some though :joy:

  4. Don’t get too excited yet guys, hasn’t even been a race yet…. Feel free to flame me if I’m wrong but he’s got to beat Bautista, Bullega, and Toprak to win races and we all know that’s not easy.

it’s not knocking a Brit either, I hope he does well but he’s had a lot of chances also, just like by the end of this year if Sam Lowes is still crashing every week people will be saying the same about him

  5. I don’t think he has to win races although of course it would be nice but if he aims to be consistently the best of the rest it might see him on a better version of the v4 next year and dare I say some wages thrown in for good measure.

  6. the wages I agree with! No one should be out there riding for whatever sponsors they can find.

in Scott’s case finding money from, some ‘man made non leather leathers’ company that have come from nowhere and the second he has a big crash we will see whether he keeps using them.

  7. Yes, I noticed he had switched from Ixon to this lesser known company

  8. I’m honestly not trying to be *ontroversial here but it amazes me how Redding gets so much abuse/criticism when S lowes escapes it time and time again (and his bro to a lesser degree)
An “under motivated” sr got double lowes points last year on “lesser machinery” and has by far a better pedigree career wise imo.
    What’s that all about?

  9. I know you aren’t, but for balance you’re doing the same thing with SR glasses on. Yep SL has done a ton of crashing last year but it’s the first time he’s ridden a production bike since 2014 ish when he rode the yacknick R6? So 10 years, never ridden on Pirelli, never ridden some circuits, new team to superbike.

as always there are always multiple sides to the story, that’s why I tried to be balanced by saying that at the end of the year SL will have none of those excuses to use so if he’s still crashing I’m sure he will get just as much criticism.

specifically regarding me, personally I think I could be in a room and have a beer with Sam, and to a lesser extent Alex (they are quite different personalities) where as to be honest I think Scott is probably a little out there for my person tastes. Not that it’s an issue as they have plenty of friends and we will never meet anyway.

  10. Haha see I’m the opposite I think I could have a beer with Scott (when he’s not on a diet) cos he has a no Bs attitude and doesn’t suck up to “the establishment”. The lowes twins remind me of the boffs u used to get in school you never speak to these days, too squeaky for me.

Last question, what would you rather win a world super sport title or the BSB title?
