Oh dear, I’m at the end of day 3 and have had enough, done nothing but sleep between coughing fits today. Hope you feel better soon. Andy
Thanks came home early from work and collapsed on the sofa. I’m going to see how it reacts to some good Irish whiskey. Hope you’re better soon.
If it's anything like I had, I've been suffering since the Monday before Christmas, almost over it now, just got to sort my breathing out
Apparently, it was a virus, was really bad over the Christmas period, started feeling a bit better at the new year, went back to work for a couple of weeks, still feeling rough as a badgers arse, then it came back even worse than before, ended up off work for a few days, still not fully 100% yet
Annual trip to the MOT station to find out how few miles I’ve done in the last year does make me wonder why I keep it
Took my pegs and hangers off my V4 PP to get them powder coated. It actually turned into a big job. I didn’t anticipate having to remove the exhaust, but there you go!
Took delivery of oil for the Darmah & I'm trying a new 'regenerated oil' which, & I quote, is "A regenerated base oil is a used oil selected and recovered which will undergo a high-tech refining process. Conversely, recycled oil only undergoes a simple filtration process which only eliminates the residues present in the used oil." The eagle eyed among you will notice the 4 litre is 10W-50 & the 1 litre is 10W-30 which was a picking mistake. So I got back to Opie Oils and they said no worries we will send the correct one and I can keep the delivered one. I have to say Opie Oils has gone even further up in my estimations as the original order was on the 19th, it was delivered on the 20th & I've already got confirmation of the order rectifying the mistake will be delivered on the 21st. They also have a huge selection of oils at real good prices.
Finally sorted out a number plate light for the custom LED stop/tail light on my 1098R. It’s a bit of a bodge LED thing meant for a trial bike but at least it will satisfy the local MOT fascist pig bastard.
Not entirely sure I’ve recovered enough yet but I’ll be riding the Pikes Peak down for its first annual service in the morning. Hoping the weather is going to be somewhat drier than it is now. Andy
Replaced the £10 bag i had attached to the underside of the tail with a slightly larger WP one as the bag was soaked from err... the rear wheel
Finally got around to fitting a usb socket on the multistrada as it’s a bit warmer in the garage. All went well nd the 3d printed holder worked perfectly. Then I connected it up and have found the socket has a small led. I had considered wiring through the ignition but thought direct would be more flexible. However now concerned that even that small led could affect the battery if left on so have ordered a switch to isolate it when needed. Now need to find somewhere to mount that……
Popped to the garage - all bikes still looking sad & miserable. There'll be no change while this weather continues to be so crap... At least my garden thinks that Spring is on its way
Pikes Peak serviced, now back home and washed ….. again. Don’t remember there being so much shit on the roads. Andy
