V2 New Pani V2s - Hitting The Showrooms?

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Skyman, Jan 12, 2025.

  1. Does anyone know when the new bike (and the SF version too) will be in UK showrooms?

  2. Panigale in a couple of weeks. SF late March. According to the local dealer

  3. Thank you. I have a Pani on order, but second thoughts are a switch to the SF. I shall decide once I see them side-by-side.

  4. Any sightings?

  5. The new v2 in my opinion looks crap.

  7. The only thing I think spoils it is the link pipe outside of the swinging arm. Quite why they didn’t route it behind it is a mystery.
I have watched lots of videos and the rest of the bike looks good.
Ducati Berlin have had both models for about 3 weeks but I cannot find any Uk reports of dealers having them yet.
My local dealer said end of January then the 14th of February but not had any further updates

  8. totally agree, why on earth they couldn’t take it up through the swingarm I have not idea, the CBR6, older fireblade, Daytona 675 etc all managed it even with the shock next too it.

that and it looks a little ‘tall’ can’t explain it but I’m sure others will have had the same thought.

  9. I’m biased. No comment.

  10. The answer to the link pipe issue is the race system.

  11. Ok. For me it’s not just the exhaust routing on the looks front. It’s the front of the bike. To me it looks like a cheap 125 (sorry). There is something wrong (in my eyes) with the look/gaps/proportions highlighted.

  12. I tend to agree that the overall look is not ideal! - at least from the renders. A lot of the lower front of the fairing looks rather flat and featureless. I am sure it looked better @ the NEC, hence my desire to see it in real life again, and alongside the SF if possible.

  13. not really though is it… it’s like a £3k exhaust by the time it’s fitted and then probably can’t do any trackdays with it. So you end up with £20k+ bike with 120hp that you can’t do a trackday on

  14. Ah nostalgia. Reminds me of the 999 launch in many ways. Be ok if the new V2 ages as well. But I doubt it. :D

  15. jeez, I don’t think it’s that bad haha! Whether people think the 999 is good or not, it was a massive massive design concept change, from
Nose down bum up to long low and flat.

  16. I think the new V4 looks very similar if you take away the wings.
Same straight edge behind the wheel and slimmer/higher nose.
The bar gap on the V2 is mainly ( not fully ) down to it having higher/closer bars.

  17. The cutaway shape is a more modern trend influenced by MotoGP, its to reduce the effect of cross wind (I read from Mat oxley) so you’ll see more gap behind the wheel on newer bikes.

  18. Ducati Sunderland have just had their Panigale V2 delivered today so going to have a look tomorrow if I can.
Not that I’m getting one, my neck, back, hips etc cannot cope with a sports bike now, unless this is really sit up.
Just to give me an idea what the Streetfighter will be like

  19. £1550 delivered but no doubt £300+ vat will be added when it arrived.
