Thanks, but looking for a specialist in bikes, especially race rep (not to mention Jersey body shops are a complete rip off - £450 they charged the insurers for a minor bumper scuff!). Thinking of getting the body panels and tank together off ebay, bit by bit, and getting them done:-
That paintjob looks sweet. However, would you not consider a decal kit being made up by " imageworks ".Prob cheaper & you can remove if u want if you ever decide to sell the bike or get bored of it.
Prefer a proper paint job. I would stick the original bodywork on it if I sold it and sell the painted set on afterwards.
I agree Chippy, I think most buyers are turned off by race rep decals, they think the bike has been down the road.
Check out the superbike thread, look for mito posts, he seems to find panigales from all over with some nice, nasty and mad designs
Gratuitus bike shot! Picked mine up as it is, Ducati Coventry had it comissioned. Might be worth giving them a call as I don't know where they had it done.
I emailed Rage earlier to get an idea to see if it's going to be do-able or not. Two options:- 1) Pick up panels as they come up on Ebay and get these done. Should be able to get all the panels for around £800 plus the tank and cost of the paint. 2) Bite the bullet and get a complete CF set including tank, £3,500 + paint costs. Probably a bit on the steep side!
Will post some pics when done - not likely to be until the end of October though. The Pani is booked in for a service on the 30th September, so will strip the body work the following week and get it shipped off. At least it should give me enough time to get a pair of Termi slips and get those fitted for when the bodywork arrives back!
Any reason why the road is more than the race? I thought a race design would have been more due to the more complex design.
