Bought a new set of Rukka thermals from sports bike shop in Howlow, as I’m determined to get out on the 899 for the first time this year tomorrow. Not even having a bevvy this evening
Insured the panigale. Now just to get a new set of side stand plate bolts, then in for MOT and oil change ahead of the new year
Found out how to adjust the chain on the Multistrada (thank you YouTube), all hell will break loose tomorrow
Had a tidy up and a change around in the garage, needed to get the 996 out of the van, it's only been sat in there for three weeks There is one still in the garage which i worked around, one in the living room, and three around the back
Although I enjoyed the first ride of the year I was soon reminded of the standard of driving and condition of the roads plus I can’t move round here for HS2 roadworks..
i did my usual of spending as long cleaning a bike as i did riding it and reluctantly deep washed and then lightly oiled areas i would never have dreamt of touching on such a "young" bike, mainly because it was better than leaving the possibility of any salt exposure to chance.
Started up the 916sp, let it warm up. Tryed to start it again and got nothing on the button, I didn’t charge it over winter so I’m guessing my battery is shot…., tried to bump start the Cagiva, can hear the thumping of the cylinder, but no start, will inspect the spark plug tomorrow and see if it’s wet. No start on the button but it’s got an old battery hooked up to it. Looks like 2 new batteries….
Yeah, that’s exactly what I say too. Clearly though, you’ve got a tolerant one there, so have I. But with that many bikes you shouldn’t complain too much.
To be fair, 3 of them are not mine, the one on the left in the pic belongs to my youngest son, and 2 of the three around the back are my sons, one each
We had our first ride of the year today. Fantastic weather, fantastic roads, fantastic bikes… Happy life!
