Early finish so as the sun was shining I thought I’d go for a ride on my new SL. Did 40 miles, I like the bike but it’s like sitting on a plank of wood. I either get the seat gel filled or get a fat arse!
i'm rusty, but common mod was to swap rear damper unit with the latter 900 i.e. equivalent but forgotten the exact reason:- could be longer travel/longer spring or more sophisticated damping - research will reveal.
that's it, like my guess then - longer. The reason for fitting is to try and preserve people's kidneys though, not because of the geometry!
