1200 2013 Multistrada Dipped(low) Beam Stopped Working

  1. I have 2013 Multistrada 1200 with headlight (part nr. 520.1.023.3b). Low beam eventually stopped working.

The problem is that low beam lights are LED(until year 2012 low beams were halogen H11) and there is no relay visible in the front relay compartment (one relay is missing, since it is not H11 low beam). I removed the front headlight and I have a 12.5V on the cable that connects to the headlight (4 pin connector). That means that the voltage is OK up to headlight..

LED position lights are working, high beam is also working.
Is there a possibility to replace just the LED module of the low beam or do I need to replace the whole headlight, which is priced around 700€ and above.

I've spoken with my mechanic and he said he has never heard for a problem like this.

Any help with this problem would be appreciated.

  2. I've heard of people having to pay that sum or around it for replacement entire units. Maybe you are the person who can confirm a cheaper fix but that depends on your wallet & contact circle. I cannot offer anything than feeling sorry about this taking place.

  3. It is just a strange feeling that if this kind of problem occured on the model 2011 or 2012 it would be just a bulb replacement and that's it. I hope to find a cheaper solution :)
