  3. Maybe next time

  4. Nice bike, enjoy it.

  5. Yesterday I/we spent half the day doing more packing and moving stuff around. Thankfully all we've pretty much got left to pack is dribs and drabs that will get boxed and shoved in the car on the actual day of the move.

Last night we went out for dinner with 6 friends we’d not seen in ages. Lots of booze was consumed and loads of laughs were had. :)

  6. Checked on the aerator I've added to the pond and it seems to be doing a good job, plus the froggies don't mind it. It's only a small pond, oval shaped about 2m x1m at its widest. We counted about 70 frogs in there the first time they spawned in February now they're back spawning for a 3rd time. No idea if it's the same bunch or from a neighbours pond. Image is from February, and I've cleaned up the grass that started growing on the left, Probably from when I mowed the lawn and didn't clear it up.

  7. Been to Birmingham shopping with the women of the household.

Bite to eat at Pho (Vietnamese food) then off to the shops and bag carrying duties.

  8. Remembered its 5 years today first lockdown.

  9. This is ongoing as a brief update. The guy has tenants who won’t let me view the apartment above it until early next month when they leave.
I did find out I can’t port my mortgage though and I’ll need a commercial mortgage which according to my FA currently stands at between 7 and 10% wtf :joy:

  10. Went to see the progress on my new house up in Northumberland and to meet a friend who is going to do some jobs for me once I move in. Then we went for a pub lunch.

Now back in North Yorkshire for a few days as I've got a couple of prior commitments then I'll be back up the road at the weekend in readiness for "completion" and hand over of the keys next Monday, although I'll not be physically moving in till the 3rd April.

  11. Someone fly tipping this item with other bits, so yes i'd my Wimbledon Womble moment. Maybe climb a tree and leave it up there for years. The rubber could be saved but but has some rust marks on it.?

  16. I'm loving those hot babes on the Dubai's adverts.!

  17. Applied for my concessionary bus pass. Probably should have done it several years ago but not felt the need or had the inclination. Now it costs £3 each time you get on a bus to do one mile or ten miles, I seem to have found the inclination :joy: Andy

  18. I feel your pain. We live opposite a railway line which is the divide between the boroughs of Sutton and Epsom & Ewell. We are in the latter, which gets you a free bus pass at state pension age; had we bought the other side of the railway we would have got a free Oyster card at 60, and last night’s trip to the RAH would have been free rather than costing £16 for the two of us.
