  1. Let them in, they'll soon get pissed off with the constant pop-up adverts, and leave :joy:

  3. Yesterday was craning in day at the boat yard, spent most of the day putting 30 odd boats back in the water.

  9. Just dropped my bike off for a service and been given one of these as a courtesy bike. Dull sound til you “open it up a bit” and the mirrors are even more pointless than the ones on my 899 but it’s very civilised and seems easy enough to throw about.
    Very comfortable!

  10. Rode out along the Elan Valley and on to New Quay (made it this time!) then back home. Did about 280 miles I think.

  12. It’s was very confidence inspiring in the twisties. Ate up the shite roads like my 899 never could. Had to get on the m11 to really open it up. Sound really kicks in at around 6k revs. Too quiet for me though, I like people to hear me coming as much as possible especially when filtering. They had a very smart looking black and gold full throttle with termis in the showroom which I imagine sounds quite a bit louder.

Got back on my 899 with new (to me) rear sets fitted, sun shining and it’ll be a while before I get rid. Bloody glorious even if it beats me up a bit on shit roads.

10 years old and still looks great too imo

  13. Today I visited the memorial to Alcock and Brown in Connemara, near where they landed after the first flight across the Atlantic in 1919, in a Vickers Vimy.

  14. Love my icon. Took a while to warm to it, but it allows you a lot leeway to be a hooligan and is equally happy just pootling along quietly. Have to agree with what Andy wrote.

You get used to the mirrors after a while and it does need a louder exhaust.

  18. Today, for no good reason, I went to Saul Junction and ate in the Stables cafe before a walk about. Weather was perfect. And I went in the visitors centre and bought shit - as I do!

Tuesday is my swimming day, normally, but I felt like a change. I'll swim tomorrow.
