Gave it a service.. new oil and filter, new air filters and spark plugs whilst refitting the tank, one of the male fittings for the fuel lines snapped leading to fuel spraying everywhere. I read that this was a common problem and ordered some stainless fittings to replace them. In taking the female fittings out of the tank one of them snapped flush with the tank.. deep joy.. no EZ out or anything else would remove it so I ended up using a soldering iron to melt all the plastic from the female fitting and remove it from the threads. Very time consuming. Very awkward but having seen the price of replacing the whole plate it was worth persevering. once removed I then fitted all the stainless parts and it’s all back together and running. next up, collecting some 5 spoke wheels and carbon termis…
Today bought some goodies… Couldn’t resist fitting the Termis this afternoon.. looks way better.. Wheels will wait until I’ve decided on a colour scheme. Gonna respray the bike and wheels.. in either red, black or….
it’s a cat C and it’s a little rough so it’ll need a respray anyway.. not too precious about originality.. rather have something a little different
