Whatever next, riding the bike yourself around the track? I'd thought you'd have a man for that, Dave
Had an excellent day today but weather forecast is dire for tomorrow, so we might head off to Misano for the MotoGP instead.
Dave, Glad it is all going well, and I hope it stays dry for you tomorrow. I really fancied going too but am off to Almeria tomorrow. Frankly though, after going to the debacle that was the FE (ducati) event earlier this week, and hearing your "have to share with 100+ others" that you weren't told about in advance, that might be it for me going on FE events...... how could they not have to tell you that?! Glad it's still good, but it's like dealing with a dodgy second hand car salesman! Drop me a PM. Am getting together a group of people to try and sort out some more foreign trackdays where we just rent the track.....
Dodgey car dealer......LOL.......you know them then.......drop me a PM too me an a mate would be interested......cheers.....I was on the FE / Ducati day.......after me an a mate booked into the intermediates I found myself in the fast group not a problem but they'd kept my mate in the inters......LOL......not that it mattered as it was a total washout anyway......any chance of getting a refund......hahaha
looks like you are having a great time, i wanted to go but missed out when it was first advertised. by the time they advertised there were some spare spaces i thought i had sold the track bike. Dave, were you at Portimao in March with NL? i'm sure there was a D16 in the group i was riding in (Inters / Fast) and there can't be that many people who use them as trackday toys?
It could be they didn't know about sharing the track with the Italians or maybe they thought it was immaterial - which it was actually. The track is so big that it made no difference and having 4 groups made the whole thing more relaxing with a full hour between sessions. I had my doubts about FE but I've found them to be very good. I'd have no hesitation using them again.
Unfortunately rain stopped play so we had to pack-up early :-( Still, I collect my bike next Saturday and head straight onto Eurotunnel with it in my van for a week in Paris followed by a few days on track at Magny Cours with the D16 Riders Club. I hope we get good weather!
Your doubts could be well founded I've loved their days but I doubt I'll ever cross their palms with silver ever again and I wouldn't be the only one
Exchanged a few texts with funkatronic last night. Unfortunately he was in hospital having some precautionary x-rays having gone down on his 998. I hope everything was OK in the end mate.
