1170 miles in and standard factory settings for suspension Goes well, steers well, doesnt like higher than 4th gear below 60, 6th genuinely is rubbish, skyhook seems to work better the faster you go, yes - it will wheelie easily, good comfortable fun. Oh yeah and back brake works well enough to lock the rear at 30 Still too fecking tall tho....
Presumably you knew how tall it was before buying ... a bit churlish to complain then surely. I have never bought a Ducati before because they are too small ... relieved that they've brought out a full-size bike and I can check out what the fuss is all about before I step off this mortal coil. Especially as, yes, they ARE that good!
Damn! I expected it to shrink over time too, well thats what the sales guy said.... And no surprises, the test ride I had showed 6th was useless except at m'way speeds plus Guessing the humour chip is missing in some Sheesh....its obviously tongue in cheek
Tongue in cheek doesn't work well in text form. I merely thought you were wishing Ducati had made it lower. Would the low seat option not help? As I say, there are plenty of low, small bikes out there - my ST was one, which was one of the reasons it was replaced with an MTS - I'm so happy not to be hunched up these days!
I have the low seat, tbh its a bit vibey without the padding, and if i add preload I cant really touch the floor but its no biggie. Only a problem when I stop, so I dont. Its nice to get off a bike after 169 miles and not have to have a bath to soak my aching muscles...
I rode 2,700 miles round France in July in two weeks with barely an ache. 7,700 on the clock now in just over four months.
Bradders get a pair of TCX goretex boots they have a nice thick sole, that extra inch counts as they say
