Healthy life after retirement.

  1. Man on death bed suddenly sits up and says "What the fuck was that", and keels over.

  2. What did they die of?

Is there a genetic factor to consider? If so have you discussed it with your doctor?

  3. Corrected for you.

  4. Heart disease, a major killer that runs in families, can be managed / reversed.

  5. Heart disease, yes. Well, up to a point. But we have all got to die of something, and that cannot be "reversed".

  6. There are worse things than dying

  7. yes like having HMRC on your back :banghead:

  8. Agree Pete, no worries. Just ifs buts and maybes.

Confucius he say, "healthy life before retirement, leads to healthy life after retirement".

    The Ducati helps too!

  9. Bored yet?

  10. They might still be 40

Ps. Most people call it being made redundant

  11. Surely as its the ONS (government dept) that have put these figures together the easiest way of keeping Jocks alive is to reduce their retirement age thus giving them a long and happy retirement to eat deep fried pizza's and mars bars whilst drinking copious amounts Ironbru and whiskey and smoking 40 fags a day?
So if Alex (Connor McCloud of the Clan McCloud) Salmond is reading this I suggest it's a good way of increasing popularity, imagine the headlines, since we became independent we live longer after retirement.....

  12. So for those that have never worked they must have the longest life expectancy as they retired when they left school

  13. sounds about right.

I wonder if there is a correlation between a long life and not having kids. After all, if you've removed all that stress from your life you'd think you'd age more slowly.

  14. Married men live longer than single men. Single women live longer than married women, althought that is probably at least partially skewed by childbirth.

Taller people earn more than shorter people.

Broad statistics hide much of the detail though.

  15. so how long will a 6'5 married man live who is smashing a single womans pasty in on the side ;)

    heehee
not me like - one of those 'mates of mine' stories...shall I tell him hes doomed :)
