I'm still out on the Panigale. It depends which side of the bed I get out on whether or not I like tbh. The Tricolore is currently the best of the bunch offered. The Panigale R model isn't worth it compared to the Tricolore. Lets hope the RR or the latest upgrade is worth it.
Seems to me that Ducati seem to do the "perceived value" thing quite well. They make a reasonably nice looking bike (but not too dissimilar to Japs to be honest) a bit "trick" with a nice paint job and a few bolt ons and charge a hefty premium for it. Seems to work for them, doesn't it.
I honestly think the Pantygirdle is the best-looking bike Ducati have built. Including the 916. Clearly other people don't agree with me.
It's a beautiful bike, it really is. The only minor point is, to me, the tank looks too small when viewing the bike from side on. Other than that, she's very pretty.
I keep making excuses to pop to the garage!!! But like all things its a matter of opinion and some will love it and some will think its a boil on satans arse....
it's a beautiful bike, undoubtedly, but it hasn't made me drop everything and stare lustfully at it, like the 916 did when it first hit the streets. I'm also put off by the electrickery-gadgetry lack of analogue dials. For Christ sake Ducati, why can't you just make a beautiful bike with proper speedos and tachos anymore?! ...I like to see my arrows moving around a clock face, not bloody characterless electronic screens without souls!
The first pic just looks weird. I don't have a problem with the stock Panigale zorst. It makes a lot of sense to have this weight low down and centralised.
and putting the exhausts underseat now leaves a cocking great void in front of the rear wheel............awful!
Ooh white wheels, I was thinking about some white wheels on my 1098s for some reason yesterday, probably when I was stuck behind some god awful people carrier
the first pic is a little over exposed and the white seat cowl is hard to see. that big gap will be idead for carrying a spare wheel
White wheels look brilliant when they are clean. But they almost never are, unless you have nothing else to do with your life apart from clean wheels.
+1 I had a Guzzi with them and I couldn't have put it better than Glid. I lost the plot eventually and got them powder coated black, not as pretty for sure but a helluva lot less work John
Those Zard systems look absolutely discusting IMHO! and absolutely pointless.... putting weight up high again for purely cosmetic reasons, Stock 1199 with Termi's is the prettiest of the bunch IMHO.
