  1. Met the guy at home. Rode it back to work....sitting looking at it at the moment in the car park....5 more years of loan payments!!

Initial impressions as this is my second one....my first was about 2 years ago (heavily modified 1100s)

Feels like a softer ride than my old one - in a nice way.
Termi end can sounds a lot deeper than the full zard system that was on my old one.
    Prefer the new clocks.
Engine feels smoother. Feels like it pulls the same though.
Rear number plate hanger is coming off asap....strip plate in the post....

Thats it for now - roll on the upgrades...!

  2. Nice what tail tidy you getting?

  3. I'll got some on my tablet... See if I can upload in a min... If not tomorrow...

Tail tidy.... Funny you should say that but I thought I'd design my own.... We've got loads of structural designers at work so if I can get something knocked up on CAD I can send it to a fabricators. All the ones I've seen so far don't really take advantage of the space to hand plus I'll be getting an integrated tail/indicator light as well....

Whatever I do with the tail tidy will be in stainless so it doesn't need to be coated.

  4. Whaddya know... It worked.... Hugger is not my style so I'll probably sell that one on. Plus the Rizoma mirrors.... I prefer the foldy mirrors...

  5. Nice, I can reccomend the Republique Racing Tailtidy
Which hugger is that, I may be interested in buying if you sell,

    Happy days
    cheers

  6. I have no idea who makes the hugger (looks to be fibre Glass I think but a gloss finish) if youre interested ill take it off and take some shots of it. Theres also a blingy carbon fibre swing arm cover which is coming off as well...I like to keep it minimal.

Yeah - I saw that one which I agree is the best of the bunch but I reckon I can do better. The republique on is in the right place but wastes too much space. In my head I know what I want - its just getting it on screen and getting a drawing up together for a fabricator.

  7. Maybe he could make 2???

  8. Yeah, wouldnt mind seeing more pics of the hugger, the carbon one I have is too narow & too short, & riding all weather is not good enough. cant remembe which make, cost £139.

  9. Ha - well we could be in for a swap....i prefer the short ones....mines not going to be doing any distance and if i can avoid it....going out in the rain.

  10. If i can get something knocked up then ill get a load ran off....ive found a couple of fabricators that are local....just got to get something made. Ive got the original standard pipe so i can use that as a template...

Theres a little nick taken out of the corner but if I took it off I could smooth that off quite easily - got a fine grinding wheel in the garage.

  14. can you measure the length around the circumference from rear tip to forward to the base, also the width at widest point. cheers

  15. Reckon mine is longer than that - pardon the pun....yours looks ok to me - I don't have a tape measure in work - ill get the measurements tonight....assuming your happy with that would you want to do a straight swap. There'll be an element of trust involved here.

  16. Looks like yours goes further back past the rear wheel axle c/line, the ones in the link i sent stops short of that.

    I'll pm you
